The five losses were given to the Wells Leopards, Battle Mountain Longhorns, Eureka Vandals (twice) and the Carlin Railroaders. Overall, the Broncos and Cheer- leaders felt this year a successful one. Pictured at the Left is Gretchen Van Schaick, Cheerleader Advisor. 15 Ahhh! Having only two players on the team with game ex- perience was a disadvantage which was difficult to overcome. Next year will see a more seasoned, more experienced Colts basketball team, ready and able to have a very successful season. COACH GANDOLFO 22 EVERYBODY LOVES AN UNDERDOG The Girl's volleyball team from left to right: top row, Lois Brady, Kathy Fox, Robin Van Schaick, Tracie Thompson, bottom row, Denise Williams, Debbie Repp, and Kjerstine Casady. The team started out bigger this year but due to cir- cumstances beyond our control we ended up with just enough girls for a team. A good time was had by all. CIRLS’ ATHLETICS 74-75 Although there were many endeavors to Keep the Team going, the girls just couldn't get it together! They played Battle Mountain, Owyhee, and Wells. Their record was 1 win and 2 losses. More and more each year the students of the nation and those of Austin High School are becoming involved in the main stream of school and national politics. This year the student body president sits as an advisor to the school board on student affairs. With this ever increasing role comes an increased responsibility to set an example and to prepare for the leadership which the youth will assume upon completion of high school. It is and will be your responsibility to direct the civic affairs of this nation. To make it a better place for us all. And I leave this challenge to you all. Congratulations to the class of 75 upon completion of a successful high school graduation. Remember that you have and will leave a great mark upon this school. You now represent this school and Austin to the world. James F. Huckaby 37 Best wishes to you all in successful completion of your goals.
