MR. RONALD BYRD PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Our Nation cannot be content with mediocrity or with the second-rate. Second rate nations do not exercise world leader- ship or lead in the fight against the enslavement of man. With the increasing complexity of the world situations the partnership between society and education becomes increasingly important. The future of America depends upon and will be molded by the quality of our educational institutions. This is the challenge, and this challenge is being met by our school as is evidenced by the quality and achievements of most of our graduates. America needs emphasis on excellence, independence of approach and a continuing tradition of educating free and responsible individuals who can assume positions of leadership in our society. I hope that we, parents, students, and teachers, can continue striving towards meeting these goals and thereby pro- viding good citizens for our American Democracy. 4
