Starting the school year of 1960-1961 the Junior Class consis- ted of: Alleen dory, John Aria, and Barbara Saralegui. In November John Aria moved to Sparks. LaVar Young was with us a while. Both girls were active in the G. A. A. Alleen served as repre- sentative and Barbara as president. Alleen was secretary-treasurer of the student body. Barbara was a cheerleader, and class represen- tative to the student council. Both girls were active in plays and on the Castilleja Staff. The girls are looking forward to a senior year that willbethe best of all their years in Austin High School. tfhen school started in September, the class discovered that Bill Burton had transferred to Battle Mountain and Jerry Anderson moved to Bor n, California. After basketball season Larry Clayton transferred to Fallon. Philip Tresner moved in from California in October. During the year Stanley Hooper, Bruno Potts, and Larry Clayton played basketball. Stanley was captain of the team. Roger Berg was manager of the basketball team. Dawn Bruce and Claudia Givens were cheerleaders. Dawn was class president and Claudia was class representive. Both girls played on the volleyball team. In September of I960 the freshman class started out with four boys and two girls. After Thanksgiving, Margaret Young moved back to Delta Utah. Tony and Dave were regulars on the basketball team and Danny and Dennis filled in as needed. Elizabeth was active in the G. A. A.
