In the fall of 1956 four freshman hoys entered the doors of Austin High School to begin four of the most important years of their lives. These students were Richard Bridge, George Agnor, Emmett Dory and YJendall Alexander. During the summer of 1957 Richard Bridge joined the Marines and Wendall Alexander moved to Reno, so when school started only Emmett Dory and George Agnor were left Two weeks after school began Jim Keller entered the sophomore class. In 1956 the same three, Jim, Emmett, and George, entered school together. However, Jim then transferred to Tonopah and left Emmett and George to finish their junion year. In their freshman year the class of 60 took part in most df the schoolTs activities, George and Emmett played basketball and earned their le tters in that sport. All four boys took part in the play Desperate Ambrose , presented in the fall of 1956 George went out for the track team and both Emmett and George Joined the Block A . In 1957-58 George and Emmett went out for basketball, but In the latter part of December Emmett suffered an unfortunate injury while sleigh riding and was out of sports for the rest of the year. In 1958-59 Emmett was able to play basketball again and both he and George made a place on the team,. During the year they took part in the short plays presented ajb the school and algo raised money for the Block A by working one weekend on a ranch with the other members. George and Emmett played oh the basketball team in 1959-60. This year they were co-captains. Emmett was els cted president of the student body; George was editor of the Castilleja and vice- president of the student body Jim re-entered school here and the three were graduated in Ilay with Toni Schnidtlein.
