Haines. For the first time in many years the school organized the Girls' Athletic Association. Yvonne King was elected presidentg Peggy Crotolo, vice-presidentg Altha Schmidtlein. secretaryg Mary Haines, treasurerg and Georgia Reed, Student Council representative. At the beginning of the year the girls decided to publish a paper. Finally on lVIarch 17, it appeared under the name of the Reese River Rattle with Georgia Reed as editor and most of the student body as staff members, During the basketball season the girls sold popcorn as their major activity. It turned out to be quite a ventureg the popcorn sold very well and helped increase the student body fund. The main purpose of the group has been both to promote service to the school through group activity and to promote interest in individual sports through a point system. -or-F' Q4 , YVONNE KING, President
