CUSTODIANS maintenance Force The progress and advancement of an school depends, not only upon efficient teachers and an indus- trious student hody workin' in the 6 interest of the school, but also upon a cooperative maintenance force. Therefore this page pre- sents our custodians and our cafe- teria staff who are on the job every day in the year. Mr. Eldon Howerton and Mr. Everett Fare always see that bus students arrive and leave on time each day and that our building is warm or cool in season, and clean and attractive at all times. Our cafeteria staff, headed by supervisor Mrs. Nelle Wooten and her excellent cooks-Mrs. Clarence Stark, Mrs. Allen Wilson, Mrs. L.C. Young, Mrs. Fenton Dunning, and Mrs. Cecil Fritts, serve an average of Soo well-balanced meals each day to both grades and high school. The record month was Jan., 1950, when lO,S9O meals passed to hungry but grateful school children and faculty. 6 rs CAFETERIA surf' if Mrs. Clarence Stark, Mrs. Allen Wilson, Mrs. Lowell Young--Franklin, Mrs. Nelle Nooten-Cafeteria Supervisor, Mrs. Fenton Dunning, Mrs. Cecil Fritts- Lowell F, Y. Gale Pate William Harrison, who has been going to college in the East, is the last of an old Southern family. He now comes South to take possession of his inheritance, a spooky old mansion around which many weird tales are woven. Hilliam's great-grandfather was a leader of the Vengers following the Civil Jar, and he incurred the enmity of an old Negro witch-woman, who placed a curse on the Harrisons for generations to come. Since that time several of the heirs have died mysterious deaths in the house. William, however, scoffs at the superstitions, but he does believe the tales of buried jewels and silver, so he invites his sweetheart, her mother and sister over to help him organize a search. Gthers appear on the scene and things start happening! There are plots and counterplots, romance and hilarious comedy, and just when it seems that nothing can exricate the characters from their perilous situation the mystery is solved in a totally unexpected manner. 1s', in '23 ,as . ,. . ig P4-kwa J S' k.D WTHIJ PIRL RUb N'sSH by Orville Snapp Presented by the Junior Class March 17, 1950 Cast of Characters Jerome Nittie, who arrives unexpectedly O A Chaney Pella, maid at the Rarkleys Maxine Smith Gordon Spoor, a young chemist Bill Litle Jennifer Barkley, the Barkley's elder daughter Gaytte Pannell Hrs Ellis McDonald, a clo e fTlEHO of Jessie's Marilyn Palxner Milly Barkley, Smed1ey's spinster sister Pay hurphy Smedley Barkley, a typical business man Bob Fly Jessie Barkley, his devoted wife Sue Gardner Cuddles Conley, who is so helple s Eula Jean McConnell NSUGY Barkley, their youngest daughter LaJunta Shoemaker Clad McDonald, El11e's thirteen year old son Harold Combs Smedley Barkley and his devoted wife, Jessie, are the tvrical middle aged married couple Ther have tvo dau lters, twenty year o c Jennifer and fourteen and a half year old vend , no is uso absolutely maturen sith the advent of Cuddles Conley, the daughter of Jess1e's oldest friend, a new atmosphere invades the Parlley hole Cuddles turns out to be Nthe helrless typen who simply annexes all of Jennifer and .endy's toy friends, lUClUG1Hg thirteen year old Clad McDonald, who has feen wendy's playmate since they were kids together.
