Girls’ Track - A First The Girls’ Athletic Association “kicked” off their season with soccer. Later in the year basketball, volleyball, and track were also offered. The first year track team took part in Regional competition. To finance needed equipment the GAA sold stationery. The Future Homemakers of America began the year by co-sponsoring Ses-qui Pageant ticket sales. Their float entered in the Farmer’s Fair Parade, earned a second prize. At Christmas the FHA girls sent cards to the elderly invalids. In the spring the FHA sponsored a Sadie Hawkins Dance. In May the girls held a car wash to earn money for the National FHA Building.
