THROUGH TRAINING AND PRACTICE Busy, Busy—The hands of the 1962 journalism class were continually busy writing, revising, reading, sorting, taking pictures, and a million and one things as they strived to edit the A. Hi Lite and the A. H. S. annual on time. Mr. Bates, Beginning typing and bookkeeping teacher, has found time to travel through Europe, Canada, and the United States. Miss Bower, in her second year at Aurora, added journalism to her typing and shorthand classes. Our typing classes are taught by Miss Bower and Mr. Bates. Juniors and Seniors increase their typing skill with practice every day. GAYLE BATES A. B., Earlham M. S., Indiana University PHYLLIS BOWER B. S., Indiana University Each journalism student writes one or more articles for every issue of the A. Hi Lite. Here they discuss the assignments for the coming issue. The annual staff takes pictures, plans layouts, and writes copy throughout the year. [ 27 ]
