The Future Farmers of America nave worked industriously throughout the year. They sell calendars with ads from our community, Christmas cards, garden and flower seeds, and ballpoint pen sets. With the money from these sales, the boys are able to go on trips. An active basketball team completes the busy schedule ofthe F.F,A, boys. To insure the students, faculty, and gen- eral readers of an up-to-date, highly-rated an- nual, the dummy--or master plan--of the 1960 AURORA BOREALIS was planned at the I. U. Journalism Institute during July and August of 1959. Many long hours were spent in planning and preparing pictures, copy, and layouts. Emergency meetings of the annual staff were called by Editor Diana De Hart and Advisor Lester Kruse to answer such questions as: What color should our cover be? g Will the students accept this new trend? g How should the pic- ture on page 10 be placed? Finally, the ques- tions were answered and the deadlines met.
