I MAtT+II. IiTIC COUNCIL PUTS THE SHINE IN OUR PORT Athletic Council members are Sue Downey, Beverly Lynn, Richard Gregory, and Phyllis McGraw. Illustrating a duty of an Athletic Council member is Richard Gregory as he takes Lonnie Booth's ticket at an Aurora basketball game. This four-member council is active at all our home basketball games. They are kept busy ushering, issuing passes, and performing other such necessary tasks. For this work the members receive A letters of a specific size designated by the A H S coaches.

The student council, the voice of the students, worked in close association with the faculty to govern our high school with equal representation for all. Composing the student council are the elected class officers of the senior, junior, sophomore, and fresh- man classes. The first meeting of the council was held to elect officers. Jay Wright was selected as President, Ken Cash as Vice-Presi- dent, Bob Meyer as Treasurer, and Ellen Keith as Secretary.
