Pete polishes his putter while dreaming of idle days out on the greens. A school must have a representative hody that will hear and discuss the faults, the hopes, the trouhles, and the dreams of its students. At Aurora High no organiza- tion more nearly meets this need than the Student Council. Meeting' every Monday noon, these students voice their ideas for making' a better school. 'l'og'ether they plan and work to carry out these ideas. A few phrases l7l'lll,fJ,' to mind the great activity of Student Council during this year: Assemhly Progranis, Noon li e c 1' e a t i o n, Nlarch of Dimes, Heart Fund, t'lothing' Drive, and lied-and-XYllite Day. The Student Council gave impetus to the developnient of a local youth cente1'. Its members sold other students on the idea and helped to raise the money necessary for this dream to become a reality. 35
