5' 611-M On the first day of sehool we freshmen, self-satisfied and confident, holdly strolled up the driveway of old Aurora Higli. After the first two Glasses we felt hewitehed, bothered, and hewildered. On Septenilier 13 we held our first c-lass meeting and eleeted our class officers: Kathy Adams, president, Murray Ross, viee-presi- dent: and lduniee Miller, secretary-treasurer. To the Student Council we elected lihnily Miller, Lou Ann Rasmussen, Kent Madsen, Ronald lngrani, and Dianne Waldron, alternate. FRESHMAN CHEERLEAD- ERS-front to back: Janice Fenster, Lou Ann Rasmussen, Kathy Adams, Dianne Waldron, Lorene Wadell. OFFICERS AND SPONSOR: Mr. Smith, sponsor, Kathy Adams, president, Eunice Mil- ler, secretary - treasurer, Mur- ray Ross, vice-president. 24 Our cheerleaders did niueh to boost sehool spirit with their variety of yells and danees. Initiation proved to he quite a mouth- watering day for us. There were all sorts of new and different foods to eat. ln the afternoon, Kangaroo Court was held. One hy one the aeeused were lirouglit up for their punislnnent. VVe chose two representatives to help us plan the new Youth Center, thus showing that the Aurora High YVay is a progressive way.
