This year the 489 Senior pictures were taken first to two local photography studios where the top 60 pictures (30 boys and 30 girls) were chosen. The top 30 (15 boys and 15 girls) were then selected by Nelson Studios and forwarded to Pat Boone. The winners were selected strictly by the pictures. Looks, suitability of clothes, and projected personality were the criteria in judging. Borealis 11 Annual Staff MR. The membership has grown to about 35, with bright prospects for the future. Here is a rundown of this year's activities and accomplishments. The Club established an ecological site in El Diablo Canyon, about one mile past Franktown. There were two field trips to this site, one in December and the other in May, so the members could see both winter and spring condi- tions. The founding of this site for continued study is a noteworthy accomplishment because students will actually be able to see biological conditions in a natural environment. The Club held two joint meetings with the Hinkley Biology Club, both of which were great successes. At the first meeting. Club members were given a tour of Hinkley by Hinkley Club members. The second meeting was'held at Central, and movies on aerospace medicine were shown. There are several joint meetings planned for next year. Some other activities of the club included a speaker from the U. S. Forest Service, a field trip to the forest service at the Denver Federal Center, and a program given by Club president Bob Pyle concerning the summer biology institute at Bar Harbor, Maine. Next year promises to be very successful, with more field trips, speakers, and movies being planned. The Club will also have an excellent financial condition due to receipts from working concessions. Any way you look at it, Biology-Club has both a bright past,—and future. P S. This space is devoted to our overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated sponsors, Mr. Anderson and Mr. Butterfield. The International Relations Club of 1963-64 has been quite active this year. The first event was the International Dinner, which was a pot luck of foods from foreign lands. Students who had toured Russia last summer told of their trip. Some lucky juniors and seniors attended the D.U. conference and also the Model U. N. conference at Greeley. At these meetings they became acquainted with people from other lands. The last major event was their own International Conference held at North Jr. High. The)- closed the year out with a combined going-away and end-of-the-year party. Jean Burkholder is confronted by two members of IRC. When is it my turn' IRC 41 First row: Greg Bradshaw.
