As Aurora High School is enlarging by acquiring new pupils, clubs, and activities it becomes our duty to portray accurately and clearly these new events. We will try to give you a clear picture of your friends, your activities, your interests, and of yourself. Since progress is what we’re striving for we will attempt to make our annual better than those of previous years. We have tried to add new and different items in the yearbook for your pleasure and reading enjoyment and we hope it meets with your approval. KAREN BISHOP, Business Manager CONNIE CUTLER. Editor-in-chief, Aurora Borealis Staff SUPERINTENDENT’ MESSAGE It has been said that education is the greatest constructive force at the disposal of democratic peoples for the solution of their problems. It is my sincere wish that through the educational experiences of your high school years, you have become a better, happier and more useful citizen in our democratic society, and that it has provided for you tools with which to huild a happy, meaningful and exciting life. W. C. HINKLEY s PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE The activities herein recorded represent a very important phase of your school program. Participation in school activities is excellent insurance for students against lack of school interest and possible withdrawal from school prior to graduation. Students and faculty alike should recognize that success in the classroom may likely be motivated through active participation in the activities program. Affiliation with activities causes a greater sense of belonging in the school and results in stronger loyalties, greater pride for your school, and a deeper desire for successful outcomes. KENNETH L.
