0 1221 Aurora Borealis 0 9 © 9 © 9 0 © 9 § THE TRACK TEAM An unusually large number of athletically inclined boys turned out for track Ibis spring. Aurora should be represented in almost every event at the Suburban League Meet to be held the first week in May. On April 12th an inter-class meet was held. The Sophomores came off easily victorious and were awarded tlie Trophy Cup given by the school to the highest point class. Honorable mention and a prize were given to Hie high point boy and girl. Arl Kelso was the lucky chap, winning three firsts in the weights. Grace Retluneier was high point girl. This year it was arranged that the girls might prove their superiority in certain contests, such as nail-driving and baseball-throwing, and also in various races. The Freshman and Sophomore classes were the only ones to have representatives in this division. © © © o 9 © 9 9 P 9 © 0 0 9 9 9 9 9 Those reporting for track and field are Arl Kelso, Ted Hafer. Harold Rayiner, Rert Norton, Stuart Ware, Philip Ballard, George Ball, Paul Cherrington, John and Robert Franks, Rex Kelso, Arnold Lund, Frank Burgess, Rob Wood, Eugene Lassmann, Albert Runkle, and a few others who are not quite as efficient, or at least not as confident, and are therefore not reporting as regularly. In general Freshman and Sophomore classes are taking care of track events, and the Junior and Senior classes are doing their best with the field events. © P 9 9 © 9 © 0 © ©
