N-g On 9 March at latitude 28010' 00 N, AULT crossed the International Date Line into the Eastern Hemisphere and the Domain of the Golden Dragon. AULT arrived in Yokosuka, Japan on 15 March. The crew found liberty a new experience in this first foreign port they visited. SUBIC BAY AULT departed Yokosuka on 17 March enroute for Subic Bay, Philippines. There she rendezvoused with USS TICONDEROGA QCVA-145 on 20 March. AULT had made a forty two day, 12,901 mile transit from Ma yport.
