CLASS MOTTO Don’t ever give up your dreams and never leave them behind. Find them; make them yours, and all through your life, cherish them, and never let them go. by Elisa Costanza CLASS COLORS Royal Blue and Silver CLASS FLOWER Yellow Rose Prophecy The sun rises from behind the Augusta Bar; it is the year 2000. Suddenly, the door is thrown open and out stumbles the owner, Eric Rittel. Eric now owns every bar in Montana, and his goal is...the world. He is about to turn around to get a toddy when a loud sound breaks the morning peace (and Eric’s headache). Up drives Naomi Wear- ley, now Mrs. Kolste, in a huge, beat up, olive green, station wagon. It clanks to a stop underneath the security lights and fourteen sets of twins, all dressed in basketball uniforms, pile out. Suddenly, the roof of the bar caves in and Dale Bakken pulls off his helmet and coveralls. He is a famous stuntman in Hollywood now. The UPS man pulls up with a huge card in tow. It's from Opal Dann, saying she can't get away from Stanford Medical Center because she has found a cure for diabetes. John Galahan comes jogging into town. He's been in Boston, train- ing for the Boston Marathon, and decides to run to Augusta for the re- union. He checks his watch and says, Ten minutes, not bad!!! Bev- erly Heinle comes ridin' in with a Sports Room van. She owns a chain of Sports Rooms all across America. Boy, who are those guys at the door?! everyone is wondering. They separate and allow Deanna Hit- chcock to lead them to the bar. She now manages the Chippendale men. Jim Plummer drives up in a shiny new Cadillac. He is a banker and now loans out money to everyone. He is a totally different guy than we knew in high school. There is a huge roar outside. Jon Simp- son and his Augusta branch of the Hell's Angels scream up to the bar. Jon is long-haired and he now wears black leather with spikes poisoned with tarantula venom. Joe Stover can’t make it so he sends a telegram. It reads, Amer- ican Rear Admiral in Navy STOP Beautiful wife Melissa STOP Traveled world STOP Sorry couldn't make it STOP Hi everyone STOP . Gregg Thompson just got out of jail for soliciting at Playgirl magazine. His wife, Christi, is planning on divorcing him for the fourth time, so she can travel to Russia for the 2002 Olympics. She still does the long- and triple-jumps, but now she makes World Records with 30- and 65-foot jumps, respectively. Yeah, man. He’s a dude. Corey Watterud is speaking to his press agent. He’s the guard for the Philadelphia Flattops and has been playing in the NBA for the last 10 years. Tucker Mills is the last mountain man. He comes ridin’ into town on a mule. He’s got a long beard and his hair's in braids. Lisa Lame is married to Marty Quinn and she has three screaming red-haired brats. Nope, sorry folks, Mr. Galahan couldn't make it. He's living in the Augusta Nursing Home. He sleeps all the time except to watch Mon- day Night Football and to cut down the cheerleaders. 2 1 In the fall of 1984, eighteen slaves joined together at AHS to face the first four years of service. The head slave was Jenni Troy, and her assistant was Lisa Lame. Christi Young Kept records and took care of the few funds that we had. Our overseers were Gary Galahan and Bill Lepley, who stood guard at all times. The slave candidates of the year were Christi Young and Tucker Mills. Christi became the Slave Queen for 1984. During the year, we lost Beth and Jessie Wearley. They transferred to another plantation. 1985 brought in more plantation workers, they were Dale Bakken and Gregg Thompson. The new work leaders were Kevin Fasbender, Tucker Mills, and Bev Heinle. Our overseers were again Mr. Galahan and Mr. Lepley. Jodi Pruttis and Kevin Fasbender were our slave candidates for the year, and Jodi won the reign as Slave Queen. That year, our Homecoming float, Panthers Will Be Brief History , won first place. Jenni Troy, Kim Morgan, and Lisa White deserted us during the year. Our third year brought in Opal Dann, Molly Nordstrom, and Ann Murillo. Corey Watterud was brought in later on in the year from the Conrad plantation. The new slave workers were Jim Plummmer, Christi Young, and Naomi Wearley. Mr. Galahan and Mr. Lepley were again appointed to the difficult job of watching us. The slave candidates were Eric Rittel and Lisa Lame, who also became King and Queen. During the year, Jodi Pruttis escaped, but ended up back at our plantation. By the end of the year, Molly Nordstrom, Ann Murillo, and Jodi Pruttis had been sold, and Kevin Fasbender was transferred to the Fairfield plantation. Stepping into our last year, we welcomed Jon Simpson to our plantation. The head worker was Christi Young and Gregg Thompson was her helper. Naomi Wearley kept the records and funds. Mr. Galahan received a new helper that year, Mr. Mark Mattingly. The slave candidates for our final year were Jim Plummer and Naomi Wearley. They were chosen as King and Queen for 1987. The war ended, and on May 22, 1988, ail the slaves were freed. i 1 1 I, DALE BAKKEN, will ray professional hurdling form co Shaylin Krone.
