“2001, A School Odessey” Augustans and Lincolnites are doing more than their share in the community on the moon since man first landed on it thirty years ago. On the last trip, it was necessary for Bill Komec, who was the driver of the space ship with its furry steering wheel and suicide knob, to stop in North Dakota so Pat Tinsley could attend church. Raymond Nelson missed the ship's take-off because he was figuring out the mileage to the moon with the assistance of his trig-book. After the ship landed, it took Ethel Lambkin no time at all to determine the night temper- ature of the moon which was 90-20-60. On the moon Bob Anderson and Bill Goss are co-owners of a 25-cent car wash so Bob can give his pickup free washes. Meanwhile, Scott Cornell is a big winner at the Uranius Ardvark Derby winning a lifetime supply of chocolate chip cookies and chocolate milk. Next, we learn that John Tuomi and Denny Dellwo are prize students in the Acme Duck talking school, although Donald Duck has fled the planet. The Moon Daily reports that Ruth Ferguson helped the Jupiter Jets immensely while playing tackle for them in the Galactic Football league. Gail Flesch was also given credit for their success because of her vastly improved cheerleading abilities. Bill Koch is making his living by supplying kegs for high-school parties. Next, we see the two explorers, Sally Shortridge and Barb Knight, exploring the outer galaxies searching for newer and better ditches to drive in with a good supply of moonshine in the back seat. Right behind them, we see Bert Doughty continually getting his truck stuck in craters. Ending the scene, Kristy Henry and Donna Hammel are acting as private secretaries of General Cynthia Mihalovich who is still trying to win the war in Vietnam back on earth. The senior class of 70 would like to show their appreciation for the raunchy job the juniors did on the class prophecy. The class of 70 was forced to make corrections in order to make this prophecy fit to print. 16

Being of unsound mind and unsound body, the Class of 70 declares this their last will and testament. Bob Anderson wills his quiet ways to Dave Ripley. Scott Cornell wills his athletic ability to the Geise boys and his lovable nature to Brad McDonough. Denny Dellwo wills his love for the Student Council and the Annual to Tom Balek who deserves it. Bert Doughty cannot will anything because he needs everything he's got. Ruth Ferguson wills her ability to blush to Brad McDonough. Gail Flesch wills her cheerleading ability to Christi Ripley. Bill Goss wills Agnes to anybody who wants her and all his parties to Lois Ferguson. Donna Hammel wills Bert Doughty to Patty Grogan. Kris Henry wills all her Jerrys to anyone stupid enough to take them. Jack Kelley wills his quiet ways to Gene Nelson. Bill Koch wills his firefighting ability to Cliff Wilson and his seat at the Wrangler to Jeff Baker. Bill Kornec doesn't will anything because the annual staff couldn't think of anything. Barb Knight wills her nickname Plunger to Scott Cornell so that he can give it to someone else. Ethel Lambkin wills Butch Gehring to anybody who likes red hair and Mary Lou Perkl to the A. H. S. football team. Cynthia Mihalovich wills her parking place in Swallow Canyon to any girl who wants to pay a fine for OVER-PARKING. Ray Nelson wills his frequent illnesses to Mustache Wilson. Sally wills her high-jumping ability to Becky Mihalovich. Pat Tinsley wills her ability to get along with everyone to Jack Kelley and her glasses to Starlette Morris. John Tuomi wills his soup-bowl haircuts to Fred Bossing and his temper to George Greitl in hopes of getting George Ready for next year's football team. 15
