FOREWORD The Senior Class of 1959 presents this volume of the Wapiti to their parents and to the community of Augusta in the hope that it may serve as a memoir of their school days and classmates. The annual is a business enter- prise of the Senior Class, requiring many hours of preparation and work by the class. From the planning and financing through the execution and selling of the product the students are taught business procedure and cooperation The Class of 59 feels that it has been a worthwhile ad venture and it will become more enjoyable as the years pass by E J Tuomi ADMINISTRATION Administration members consist of the school superintendent and the members of the Board of Education The board members dex ote some of their time to support school actix ities These men are not paid for their services so they should be given high honors for their work The efforts of the school board make a bigger and better curriculum for the students They are xery much associated with teachers salaries and dents must be approx ed by the board This is done only as a protection of the school property If students don't abide by the rules set forth by the board all extra curriculars will be abolished These men are workirg for the bet terment of the school and those attending it They want to make good strong and abiding citizens out of the youth of the town and they must be recognized for their ex er ending efforts As an individual the superintendent carries the largest load of anyone The welfare of the school and students is always on his mind All students should realize his efforts to help them and gixe him respect for his time and dex otion to their betterment 4 lv ul ' ' I - .
