Girls' Basketball The girls had a fairly successful basketball season, winning twelve and losing seven of their contests. Next year's team should be an ex- -cellent one, because of the experience they have acquired this season. The girls participated in the Silex Tournament, November I9-22 and won third place. We lost a Z9-18 decision to Eolia in our first game. We then won our first game of the tournament by defeating O'Fal1on 23-14. This enabled them to play Winfield for third place. They won this contest 29-17. We entered the Wentzville Tournament, February 2-7. We defeated Wentzville B team 36-8 in our first game of the tournament. In our second game we defeated O'Fal1on 33-15. The next game we played in the tournament was against Bellflower. We lost this game 56-32. Then we lost a four point decision to Warrenton 47-43. This eliminated us from the tournament, but we came home with the sportsmanship trophy. SCORES A. H. S.. . . .... 12 Wentzville ...... . . . 24 A.
