Initiation Party n The Sophomore-Freshman Initiation Party was held on October 15, 1951, at the old Willenbrink house. After initiation, the Freshmen were honored by the Sophomores with a Wiener roast. Everyone enjoyed the party. Christmas Party The students of Augusta High School held their Christmas Party on December 20, 1951, for the faculty, students and friends. Gifts were exchang- ed and refreshments were served. 'The students enjoyed dancing to recorded music. Carnival The P. T. A. School Carnival was held on February ZZ and 23. On Friday night, the entertainment consisted of Ping-pong, Dart Throw, Basketball Throw, Fish Pond, Dancing, and a One-Act Play. This was held at the schoolhouse. Saturday night, the Carnival Dance was held at the American Legion Hall. A very large crowd attended. Ellen Berg was crowned Queen of Augusta High School and Wilfred Wissmann was crowned King. The attend- ants and their escorts were: Carol Nadler escorted by Royce Stelzer, Jeanette Thilking escorted by Richard Struckhoff, Betty Thilking escorted by Forrest Dale Dieckhaus, and Betty Ann Oberdick escorted by Roger Buenemann.
