Freshmen Class History On September 3, 1951, thirteen students enrolled as Freshmen at Augusta High School. We were unfortunate in losing one member, Leroy Mutert. We elected our class officers for the year. They were elected as follows: President - - - ----------- - Morris Buenemann Vice-President - -, - -John Struckhoff Secretary - - - - - Charles Leesmann Treasurer ------- - --------- Janet Haferkamp Student Council Representatives - - Janet Nadler and Claudette Summers We chose as our sponsor, Mrs. Leona Sprank. Our first activity was the initiation party given by the Sophomores in October. It was held at the Willenbrink house. On October ZO, we sponsored a bake sale. T We are thankful for the co- operation which everyone showed. We returned the Sophomores party by taking them to the show in Wentz- ville, Missouri. The trip was made by bus and was e'njoyed by all. The majority of the Freshmen participated in the basketball and softball tournaments and games, and all members took part in the Glee Club. We hope to be together as we start a new school year as Sophomores at Augusta High School. Z0
