CROSS COUNTRY ROW I--L to R--Mr. Krueckeberg, Coach: Donnic McCullough, Dave Williams, Alan Essex, Mike McCullough. ROW II--Jerry Burt, Melv Retcher, Roger Shaffer, Paul Grindstaff, Keith Johnson, Paul Hawk. ROW III--Richard Brewer, Danny Spitnale, Danny Boroff, Jerry Yoh, Gary Wagner, Bill Homer, Gary Baughman. ] 966 SEASON The Cross Country team, coached by Norm Krueckeberg, ran in six meets this year at De- fiance College. The team placed third out of five teams in the Green Meadows Conference League. Four boys, Paul Hawk, Marv Retcher, John Aden, and Paul Grindstaff, were Oakwood ' s runners who placed in every meet. Two boys earned their varsity letter this year. They were Paul Hawk and Paul Grindstaff. To receive a letter, you must place in the top seven runners from oui school in five of the meets. Congratulations to the team and coach for their fine showing and hard work.
