Herb Owens being smothered under by four Haddon field tacklers for a 3-yard loss. A team cannot always be judged by the number of games it wins or loses. Auduborfs 1954 Foot- ball Team, although inexperienced, small, and hampered throughout the campaign by numerous injuries, had a 1-7-1 record, but it was one of the hardest fighting teams in the Colonial Conference. This determination was shown in the Green Waves' stunning upset of Collingswood, one of the better teams in South Jersey, and one of the perennial Group 4 kingpins. We are also proud of the boys who received special recognition for their outstanding play on the gridiron. They are Karl Frantz, Ronald Brand- quist, Ted Page, and Larry Anderson.
