We believe our Student Council is truly a democratic organization because every member of the school is represented either directly or indirectly. It has taken many years to make our country the world's greatest democracy, and likewise it has taken many years to reach the present development of our Student Council. We, the Council of 1940f41, are grateful to all preceding groups whose eiforts from year to year have been like the layers of brick in a rising wall. Not only have we endeavored to preserve this structure, but we have tried to strengthen it and build it higher. Only by carrying on the good work where others have left off can we ever hope to reach perfection. 18
