AUDUBON HIGH SCHOOL FOURTH ORATION September! And for the fourth and final time we assembled under one roof! A big year was before us and we immediately settled down to work. Ofhcers were elected for the third and last time. In recognition of his sterling services during the sophomore and junior years, Harry Furey was unanimously elected President. Howlett Moyer became Vice Presidentg Carolyn Earley took over the duties of Recording Secretaryg Marion Smith was appointed Corresponding Secretaryg and Everett Elwell fell heir to the duties of Treasurer. It was during this year that the historic juniorfSenior feud took place. For about two weeks the rival classes battled valiantly, but we more than held our own. Our Victory Dance received a stunning blow by reason of the totally unexpected reverse handed the football team by Haddon Heights. This was one of the real drawbacks to a successful year. Our class inaugurated an entirely new procedure in movie benefits. The plan, which engaged the services of the Mt. Ephraim and Ritz theatres on successive weeks, was a huge success and gave outfofftown students a fine chance to swell their personal funds. A big, busy, bustling yearg but all too short! Almost before we knew it, term papers were being hastily finished and preparations begun for the Washington trip-the outstanding event of our high school career. Who will ever forget it? Then-Graduation, the Hnal chapter in our scholastic memories! We will always remember the solemn services and impressive ceremonies, attended with all the wistful rejoicing so essentially a part of this fifnal leaveftaking. Historians: DOROTHY SMITH, WILSON Rrrzius. 21
