117 There's always the Free Union lVlovie every weekend. The real test of the Union Movie is whether or not you can get in, find a seat, see the screen, and endure your knees press- ed under your chin for two hours. lt's interesting to guess whether or not the guy running the film will realize when it's time to switch projectors. The comments from the crowd are always classic. Whenever the hero is in a really tense situation, some drunk is sure to yell advice or scream. Slack attendance in class at the end of the week is not due to severe illness or other commonly employed excuses - rather, the culprit is Beer Night at the Pub. Once a week, the All American Inn is crowded with students waving beer coupons in the smoky air. Beer Night has instituted the four day work week at Auburn. All-Nighters Most Auburn students would agree that there is little life on the campus between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 a.m. - that is, unless you are one of the students work- ing the late shift at Smith or Biggin Hall. Perhaps the night time holds some mystical quality. As you sit hunched over your drawing table, you slowly drift off into a world of your own. The real world seems to have drifted off into the darkness. Suddenly your pencil breaks, and you are jolted back into reality. Materials are utilized, concepts visualized. You notice the sun has risen - your work is near comple- tion. It is at this moment that you begin to wonder what in the hell am I doing here.
