The School All work offered n the School of Architecture end the Ar-s is for the development of creat've skill. By means of guided instruction the student is trained to develop a v'vid imagination and artistic ability. Biggin Hall, the most moccrn building cn campus, offers facilities for 700 students. Drafting and lecture rooms c ay modeling and interior design abs. an exhibit room, and on 8.000 volume library are available for student use. These facilities are in use far into the night as students display their interest and devotion 'o their work. There are few who have never heard of the ate lights in Biggin". The deportment of architecture is accredited by the Notiona Architectural Accreoiting Scare, endorsed by the American Institute o; Architects, and is a member of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Arcn'tecture. The Na iona; Association of Schools of Des'gns accredits the department of art. These accrediations make it possible for the groduate to receive recognition in his chosen field.

The Schoo In this time of competition of world powers in the field of medicine, electronics, and other technical fields, the importance of chemistry soars uowaro. Auburn is proud of its Schoo of Chemistry. The school offers the student the opportunity to obtain a thorough know edge of rhe fundamentals of sciences, and also advanced training in the courses of chemistry ano physics. Consisting of the branches of chemical engineer ing. department of chemistry. and laboratory technology. the school offers curricuia which lead to degees of Bachelor of Science, in chemistry, and in chemical engineering. The school is located ir the Ross Chemical Laboratory. with departments located in Wilmore Engineering Laboratory. In Ross Chomical Laboratory are located very modern, fully equipped aboratories in addition to the Emerson R. Miller Library. Because of the active research of the faculty, the students may learn about modern research techniques. Combining this research with thoir knowledge in teaching, the faculty members train each student to best meet the problems he may confront in the futuro. This program is maintained for and is striving to do its part in contributing to the fundamental research which i$ chiefly the province of colleges and universities.
