A Bachelor's Degree is offered in each of these fields. Graduate work in Kducalion. Foods ami Nutrition. Home Demonstration, which most of the majors mentioned lead to either a Master of Science or a Master of Home Economics degree. The curriculum is similar for all students in the first two years. This similiarity gives each student an opportunity to become acquainted with the general field before selecting a s| ccialized area of study. Smith Hall is the main Home Economies building. Ihe red brick wing behind Smith Hall is a .Nutrition laboratory and the while frame building serves as the Housing Research Laboratory. Home Economics Row is located on Duncan Drive between Thach Street and the Y. The three buildings house the Kindergarten and Nursery School, the Georgian Home Management House, and the new Home Management Duplex. You've gained S pounds! It consists of courses of study designed to meet the requirements for engineers competent!} trained to assume responsibilities and leadership in modern industry and engineering organizations. The school offers the Baccalaureate Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering with options in Communications Engineering and Electric Power. Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, eronautical Administration, industrial Management, and Textile Management. Also, the Department of Textile Engineering has a special curriculum that provides a certificate of proficiency upon completion. The first two years of study in the engineering curriculum is common for all branches of the profession. This affords the student ample time to choose a particular field of advanced studies and specialized work for the last two years. A fifth year of graduate work is offered for the Master’s Degree.

I.ike all graduates of this school, his training based on the fundamental sciences of chemistry, physics and biology has prepared him to practice pharmacy in the retail drug field and such allied fields as wholesale pharmacy, hospital pharmacy or manufacturing pharmacy. Auburn facilities for teaching pharmacy are unexcelled in this section id the country. Miller Mall, the home of the School of Pharmacy , was erected at a cost of $350,000 and is devoted exclusively for teaching pharmacy. Staff members are men of wide experience and high technical training in their respective fields. The equipment is modern and complete in every detail. The graduate program is now well established. Several scholarships in the graduate field are available. Studies looking toward the extension of the four year curriculum to five years are under way. This projmsed change will become effective with the freshman class of 1960.
