Business being conducTed by The STudenT Council, The wishes and needs oT The AssociaTion are conTinually considered. RepresenTaTives were required To aTTend all meeT- ings, and To pay Tines when absenT wiThouT suTTicienT excuse. l'lighlighT of The CabineT work Tor The new semesTer has been The AnTi- CheaTing Campaign. ln an eTTorT To curb cheaTing in The college, The Cab- ineT has been TormulaTing a plan which iT is hoped will reduce cheaTing To a minimum. AlThough The amounT oT cheaTing has already noTiceably de- creased, several years will be needed To deTermine The Tull success oT The drive. The Social CommiTTee has This year been aslced To submiT a Tinancial reporT To The CabineT aTTer each seT oT major dances, and The new Social CommiTTee seT-up has been responsible Tor The besT maior dance seTs in several years. The ElecTion CommiTTee is in Tull charge oT all campus elecTions, and has This year insTiTuTed a change in conducTing These elecTions, which has made voTing easy Tor many who have neglecTed To voTe in pasT elecTions. VoT- ing sTaTions were seT up on Ag Hill and VeT Hill as well as in STudenT CenTer, in order ThaT They mighT be more accessible To sTudenTs of Those schools. This year serving women's Greek-leffer organizafions af Auburn for fhe sevenfeenfh consecufive year, Pan-Hellenic Council has been concerned primarily wifh cooperafing wifh fhe adminisfrafion in esfablishing precedenfs and cusfoms for relafions befween sororify and non-sororify girls in fhe new dormifory unifs. Basic principles have been laid for an effec- five and efficienf rushing sysfem which will relieve much of fhe fricfion usually felf af fhe opening of fhe year during rushing season. A Junior Pan-Hellenic council has been esfablished for fhe educafion of pledges in infer-sororify problems and in Greek-leffer affairs in general. Represenfafives on fhe Council from each of fhe six sorori- fies fhis year included, in fhe order of precedenf on fhe campus: Kappa Delfa, Rufh Miller and Doffie Burke: Chi Omega, Rufh Lowe and Carolyn Jones: Phi Omega Pi, Virginia Wesf and lvlarguerife Johnson: Thefa Upsilon, Helen Porch and Jean Mayberry: Alpha Gamma Delfa, Eleanor Wrighf and Helena lvlillerg Zefa Delfa, Dorofhy Hursf and Anna Belle Cammaclc.
