YEAR Education in the training of teachers of Vocational Home Economics. Grad- uates of the school are rapidly making their influence felt throughout the nation. Many cultural courses are given due attention by the school. With the most modern facilities for individual study and research, the School of Chemistry affords adequate preparation for work in both pure and applied chemistry, with an opportunity for the pursuit of graduate work along somewhat varied lines. As chemistry is fundamental to the many tech- nical courses of higher learning, this school does the basic work in chemistry for all schools of the institution. CLIFFORD LeROY HARE Dean School of Chemistry and Pharmacy MISS LOUISE P. GLANTON Head of School of Home Economics The School of Pharmacy is a standard accredited school of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy for the training of pharmacists and phar- maceutical chemists. ' The School of Education of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute ranks among the outstanding education schools of the country. It haslits objective in the training of teachers, junior and high school teachers, and teachers of general academic subjects, vocational home economics, vocational agriculture, vocational manual and industrial arts, and the special training of principals, supervisors, and superintendents. The school cooperates with the other di- visions of the institution. The offices of Director of Department of Public Information and that of Registrar has been with the institution since 1916. In 1933 Mr. Davis was appointed to the position of Executive Secretary to the Administrative Com- mittee, which ofiice he has filled with remarkable efliciency and diligence. As Director of the Department of Public Information, Mr. Davis sees that the PCOple of the state are kept well informed as to all news worthy events in con- nection with the institution. The Registrar's oflice gathers, tabulates, and files many facts concerning each student attending the institution.
