DALE COUNTY Auburn had to hold off a fourth quarter Dale County uprising to elaim a 26-21 Victory. Auburn built up a 26-8 advantage until the last quarter. The powerful run- ning of Paul Strong gained 139 yards on 11 attempts for Auburn. The Baby Tiger touchdowns were seored by Don Walton, Paul Strong, and .ludson Williams, while Don Large added two extra points and kivked two field goals. E TERPRI E Auburn dominated the first quarter with Don Walton scoring the first touchdown of the game and Don Large adding the extra point. A 35-yard field goal by Large ended Auburnis scoring for the night. Enterprise eame back defeating Auburn 18-10 putting the Baby Tigers' record at four wins and three losses thus far for the sea- son. LANETT Auburn suffered its fourth loss of the season when the Lanett Panthers crushed the Baby Tigers 29-7. Auburn's only score eame when Van Northeutt eompleted 5 straight passes Covering 82 yards. His final throw went to Judson Williams for 31 yards. Don Large added the extra point, and had an average of 38.5 yards on 6 punts.

My VALLEY Coming into the game Auburn was riding on a 3-1 reeord and was faeing the No. 41- team in elass 3A. tough Valley High. Auburn surprised Valley with a touchdown pass from Van Northeutt to Marty lVIeGinty to give Auburn a 7-0 halftime lead. Vallefs first seore eame on an inter- ception. Then Valley took the lead with 3 seconds re- maining in the game. Valley took home a 9-7 victory over the disappointed Baby Tigers. 1 ROANOKE Auburn got back in the winning column with a 28-12 victory over tough Roanoke. Again it was Trey Johnston leading the wav for Auburn gaining 132 yards and 3 touchdowns with runs of 30, 24, and 36 yards. Don Wal- ton added Auburn's other touchdown on a one-yard run. 10
