Cathy Barrington The purpose of The Girls Athletic Association is to give all girls who are interested an opportunity to participate in ex- tracurricular athletics . This year, GAA's projects in- clude bake sales, a cake raffle, a Halloween candy sale, baby- sitting, a student-faculty basket- ball game, a Christmas dance, and a spring banquet. We also sponsor several service projects including a play day for grammar school children, and a gym clean- up. Girls who earn a total of 25 points by participating in pro- jects and tournaments are eligi- ble for membership. Letters are awarded at the end of each year to girls With the highest number of points .

jr. Civitan is a service club for girls in grades ten through twelve. All inter ested girls who have a good scholastic average are invited to attend. The purpose of jr. Civitan is to build good citizenship. Our main project this year is raising money to buy dog- Wood trees for the school campus. Some of our other projects are selling candied apples at the home football games, helping the Sr. Civitan sell box lunches at all home games, pur- chasing the Miss Homecoming bowl, and honoring the Good Citizenship Girl. Science Club provides students with the opportunity to further their interest in science. Any student may join. This year in addition to sponsoring the annual science fair and providing sci- ence scholarships, the Science Lecture Series.
