BERNARD FULLER DON DAVIS Quarterback Tackle AUBURN 7 TALLASSEE 32 The strong Tallassee Tigers proved to be too much for Auburn's undermanned squad in the opening game of the season and handed the hometown boys a 32-7 defeat. Cary Senn Scored the Tiger's lone touchdown in the second quarter on a 42 yard run. AUBURN 0 ROBERT E. LEE 28 Robert E. Lee, the new high school in Montgomery completely outclassed Aubum as they charged to a 28-0 victory. 1' Nx X '-Nr Shelby Baker runs 63 yards for touchdown against Tuskegee AUBURN 40 TUSKEGEE 6 The Tiger's were led by Bernard Fuller to a resound- ing 40-6 win over the Tuskegee Indians. Fuller scored 3 touchdowns, passed for another and kicked 4 extra points. The touchdown pass went to Cary Senn on a play that covered '79 yards. The other Aubum scores came on runs by Charles Sanders and Shelby Baker. Sanders scored from 1 yard out and Baker ran 63 yards for the final touchdown. SHELBY BAKER JIMMY RAY Haliback Guard

The Tigers could not stop the larger and more powerful Red Devil eleven. A hard rain just before the kickoff made matters worse. The game was Auburn's last home appearance of the season. 'WL W 'V JIM ROSS CHARLES SANDERS Tackle Fullback AUBURN 14 ROANOKE 34 The Tiger's dropped their 3rd game of the season by losing to Handley High of Roanoke 34-14 in a game that was closer than the score indicated. Bernard Fuller passed to Mack Yeargan for the first Auburn TD. Fuller sneaked over from the one yard line to cap the Tiger's scoring. TOMMY ELLIOTT VANDY COPELAND End Center AUBURN 20 DADEVILLE '7 Auburn High won it's second game of the season by downing a stubbom Dadeville eleven 20 -7. Bernard Fuller and Charles Sanders accounted for the Tiger's 3 touchdowns. Fuller scored twice on runs of 9 and 1 yards. Sanders went 18 yards through center for another TD. AUBURN 14 LANETT 27 After leading 14-6 at halftime on touchdowns by Cary Senn and David Ostrom, the Tigers ran out of gas to lose to Lanett 27-14.
