GHRLSY ATHLETHC ASSUCHATHUN Membership in the Girls' Athletic Association is open to all girls taking physical education. The G.A.A. sponsors many activities during the year. Among these are the annual Christmas Dance and Stunt Night. It joined with the Student Council to give the Homecoming Dance. The G.A.A. supervises intramurals in volleyball, deck tennis, basketball, softball, badminton, ping-pong, and shufileboard. At the end of the year it presents awards to the girls who accumulated the most points during these games. Faculty sponsors are Mrs. Stanton and Mrs. Moore. GLEE C UB The Glee Club sang many times in Assembly during the year. They have toured the Lee County schools and have been on the program at both the Aubum Parent-Teachers Association and the Lee County Teachers Meeting. During the Christmas season they sang carols in the halls and under classroom windows . . . A number of them attended the All State Glee Club Festival in Tuscaloosa. Accompanist is Alice Prather.
