PEP CLUB The Pep Club is the newest club in Auburn High. It was organized to promote school spirit and to publicize all school activities. The Pep Club co-sponsored a football banquet with the Lions Club. They have made posters for the basketball games. This is one of the largest clubs in the school and by next year it should be suf- ficient to carry out all its purposes. FOTOA., The James Arthur Parrish Chapter of the Future Teachers of America is under the sponsorship of Mrs. Haggard. The members gain honor points toward a Certificate of Merit by observing and teach- ing in the grammar school. The F.T.A. super vised Student Participation Day. Don Davis has been elected Mr. F.T.A. by District 4 for the past two years. He was also district president last year. Mary Sparrow is treasurer of District 4 this year. GLEE C UB The Glee Club sang many times in Assembly during the year. They have toured the Lee County schools and have been on the program at both the Aubum Parent-Teachers Association and the Lee County Teachers Meeting. During the Christmas season they sang carols in the halls and under classroom windows . . . A number of them attended the All State Glee Club Festival in Tuscaloosa. Accompanist is Alice Prather.
