For the third straight year Auburn dominated South-East Border play by winning the handsome trophy and placing seven men on the All-Conference team. Coach Don Kampe'sgriddersbegan with an exciting 14-12 win over Wymore. Next our northern neighbors in Nebraska City charged the Bulldogs with a 46-13 loss; as did Crete 14-0, and Falls City 45-14. The fighting team then finished with six straight wins: Ralston 33-6; Pawnee City 13-0; Humboldt 58-0; Syracuse 14-7; Tecumseh 33-7; and Plattsmouth 42-6.
