2 Preparing for public concerts, a vesper concert at Christmas time, singing at local club groups, and participating in two music contests comprised this year's long list of chorus activities. The chorus practiced three times a week preparing for the fall concert November 2, spring concert February 3, and a special convocation for the high school on February 23. Several members of the choir attended the State Music Clinic held at Beatrice on November 18, 19, and 20. Superior ratings were received at the Tarkio Music Contest by Daryl Lotter, vocal tenor solo, John Griffiths, piano solo, and Marilyn Hogge, vocal soprano solo. At the District Contest Daryl Lotter, vocal tenor solo, John Griffiths, piano solo, Deanna Thomas, girls medium voice solo, Carol Tushla, girls low voice solo, girls' triple trio, and the mixed chorus all re- ceived superior ratings. Daryl Lotter re- ceived a superior plus,the highest possible rating at both contests. A CLUB members were il. to r.l Herb Bohling, Terry Kuenning, Glenn Bantz, Gene Schutte, Allan Moody, LaVeme Moss, Mark Falk, Richard Casey, Jim Bantz, Raymond Stanton, Gary Flack, Bob Noah, Wes Ebeler, John Griffiths, Alan Kreglog center, Lynn Benson, Dan Rogge, Lee Ernst, and Larry Moody. U ff This year's A -Club kept very busy with the many varied activities which they sponsored. First on the list was a fun night given for the community's entertainment. Along with such events as wrestling, foot races, and boxing, a basketball game was played between the faculty and the Jay- cees. The proceeds of the evening, S99.85, went to the March of Dimes drive. Sports handbooks were sold by the members early in the year in order to raise extra money for the treasury. Mid-year initiation boosted the membership to 21 members. They were: Herb Bohling, Mark Falk, Allan Moody, Larry Kuenning, LaVeme Moss, and Gary Flack. AE -Li A -.CLUB fun night, held asa polio benefit, included boxing as shown above between Bob Noah and Raymond Stanton with Jim Bantz as referee.
