According to its constitution the purpose of this club is to “fix ideals of good sportsmanship and to create a friendly interest in inter-school contests. The members of this club shall assume the responsibility of extending courtesies to the opposing team and other visitors. The club shall lead in new yells and' songs, teaching them to the student body in order to maintain a good cheering section that will support the team to the end of the game. The club shall strive for the greatest possible cooperation with the cheer leaders, accepting their directions in regard to time of cheering and suitable yells and songs.’

Girls? Basket Ball Although an unorganized activity, basket ball proved to be an attraction to many girls. Miss Gates acted as coach for the squad of over twenty girls. From these, two color teams were organized with Mary Ann Gibbons and Elizabeth Nixon as captains. The teams made marked progress during the series of practices. One game was played as a preliminary to the Auburn-Pawnee City game on February 12.
