From this group was chosen a boys’ quartette, composed of Frank Cline, Bernard Clark, Edwin Sodman, and Howard Henderson. The group has proven successful throughout the year. Frank Cline, entered in the boys’ high-voice solo group, was given a rating of excellent at the M-I-N-K Contest at Peru, and at the District Contest at Omaha. Page Twenty-five

The Girls’ Quartette, composed of Marjorie Dirks, Katherine Jane Bixby, Ella Oestmann, and Donna McPherren, received a rating of superior at the M-I-N-K Contest at Peru, and a rating of good at the District Music Contest at Omaha. Katherine Jane Bixby, entered in the girls’ low-voice solo group, was given a rating of excellent at the M-I-N-K Music Contest and at the District Music Contest. Ella Oestmann. entered in the girls high-voice group, was given a rating of good at the M-I-N-K Contest, and a rating of excellent at the District Contest. This organization received a rating of excellent at the annual M-I-N-K Contest at Peru. The Mixed Quartette, composed of Ella Oestmann, Marjorie Dirks, Howard Henderson, and Edwin Sodman, was also awarded excellent rating. The operetta “Sonia” was presented by the Girls’ and Boys’ Glee Clubs, under the direction of Miss Shelley, on November 3.
