The Auburn Chapter is but a part of this national body and its members conform to national standards. These standards are a necessary grade average in all subjects of 3.5 as well as the recommendation of the individual teachers. This club has attempted to bring more emphasis to the scholastic standings of secondary schools. The Auburn Chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, National Mathematics Club, or- ganized six years ago, is devoted to increasing' the mathematical interest and ability of its members. Students taking either advanced algebra or math analysis and fulfilling certain grade requirements are eligible for member- ship. Topics of higher mathematics outside of those taught in the classroom are covered during the monthly meet- ing held at the home of Mr. Don alex- ander, Math Club adviser. Seated leff!
