Commercial Club Activities The Commercial Club has been exceptionally active this year and the girls arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. to open the school store. Any Junior or Senior girl may qualify by earning points participating in school activi- ties. A total of 7 points at the end of each semester is necessary to remain in the club. The sight of these energetic girls in their green Commercial ' Club sweaters has been a familiar one as they aid the school and com- lgg munity in as many ways as possible. Key Club Key Club, one of Auburn High's most serviceable clubs for boys, is active in school and community affairs. Members participated in the March of Dimes drive by selling potato chips down-town to Saturday shoppers. ln school their main proiect, under the chairmenship of Alan Beard, Gene Lindbo and John Ribary, was to paint and distribute waste cans on the school grounds as their part in the city wide beautification campaign. As a money-making proiect this year they held a pep dance after the Highline football game. President Larry Barkey along with other members of the club attended the Key Club Convention held at Franklin Pierce on March 25. Honor Society Activities B Judi Latimer, President Honor Society membership is based on a grade point of 3.3 or above. 1 - Any student obtaining this grade average may become a member. Belonging to Honor Society is one of the highest honors attained in high school. This year the club held a candle light ceremony to initiate new members at the October meeting of the P-TA. They,aIso sponsored a car in the Home- coming parade and planned several educational field trips to universities. Although the club is an inactive one and is unable to sponsor dances or have money-making proiects, it encourages students to participate in school activities as well as maintain high scholastic standings.
