LARRY J. WATSON United States Na vy Executive Officer Lieutenant Commander Larry J. Watson was born in Waller, Texas on 23 October 1952. A 1975 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, he was commissioned an Ensign on 4 June 1975. Lieutenant Commander Watson served an initial sea duty assignment as Main Propulsion Assistant in the tank landing ship, USS MANITOWOC QLST-11801. Afterward, he served as Flag Lieutenant on the staff of Commander, Cruis- er Destroyer Group Twelve, and as Engineer Officer on the commissioning crew of USS JOHN L. HALL QFFG-321. 1 Prior to reporting to AUBREY FITCH in September 1987, Lieutenant Commander Watson. completed twenty-one months of study at the Naval Postgraduate School in Mon- terey, CA. There he earned a Master of Science degree in Management tMaterial Logisticsl. Lieutenant Commander Watson has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Med- al tsecond awardl, and various unit and expeditionary me- dals. l i GARY A. STORM United States N? VY Commanding OfflC9l' W ,AV Commander Gary A. Storm was born in Fullerton, Cali- fornia, on 12 October 1946. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he received his commission as Ensign June 1968. Following his initial sea duty assignment as Damage Control Assistant in USS MCCLOYQFF-10381, he served as Executive Officer and Navigator in USS BEACON QPG-993. Upon conclusion of Destroyer School in September 1972, he returned to sea as Engineer Officer in the commissioning crew of USS MILLER QFF-10911. Afterward, Commander Storm joined the staff of Commander, Destroyer Squadron Two as Material!Combat Systems Officer. In March 1975, he was detached to attend the Naval Postgraduate School, where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in September 1977. He was then assigned as the U.S. Navy Exchange Officer to the Royal Navy Engineer- ing College QHMS THUNDERERQ, Plymouth, England, lectur- ing in Mechanics and Physics. ln December 1979, Com- mander Storm was ordered to USS SARATOGA lCV-50l 35 Damage Control Assistant. Subsequently, he reported to USS BIGELOW QDD-9423 as Executive Officer and then t0 Destroyer Squadron Fourteen as Chief Staff Officer. 'lil August 1984, he was assigned to the staff of Deputy Clllef of Naval Operations fSurface Warfarej as the AEGIS Cruiser and Destroyer Program Coordinator. On completion Of W5 tour, he received orders to USS AUBREY FITCH aS Cf-im' manding Officer. I Commander Storm is authorized to wear the Merito- rious Service Medal with gold star, Navy CommendaIIOVl Medal' with Qold star, the Navy Achievement Medal with gold star and various campaign medals. He has recently been Se' lected for the rank of Captain. Commander Storm is married to the former Susan Wal' 'QU Of Baltimore. Maryland. They have three sons, Kevin' Brian, and David. '7
