I 82 A.F.S. Sally Ann Brodalski Foreign Exchange Student To Brazil the Noriyul Amevios, sony-S host family in Campos. Lost summer for two months, I had the privi- lege to study under on American Field Service Scholarship in Brazil. I feel those were the two most important months of my life. Before my trip, I didn't truly realize what an American was or lust how fortunate we all are or even how much we take for granted. Living in another country gave me a better look at the United States-both its faults and assets, The Brazilian people were so very friendly and generous, giving even when they had little or nothing to spare. Their customs and traditions were beautiful, and I believe that we in the United States have much to learn from them. lt is impossible for me to express the value of this experience in words, but I do hope that many more students from Atwater High School will be given this wonderful opportunity to study in another country. To all the generous people here at the high school and in the community who donated money to help finance this trip, I would like to express my deepest gratitude. Sincerely, S Olmtfgmalc-.Qolue SoIly's Brazilian sister, Vera, waves from Cornpos's center
