Young has brought much understand- ing and appreciation of scientific phe- nomena tolhis students. Frequently, he may be found checking laboratory equipment or cracking an occasional joke. Mr. Young's coaching has helped many seniors to fare well on the Advanced Placement Examinations in Chemistry.

ALEXANDER HUGHES Mr. Alexander Hughes, popularly known as El Senor, is the head of the Foreign Language Department at A.C.H.S., and adviser to the Spanish Clubg which keeps him very busy. Many Class Night and Varsity Plays have owed their success to the assist- ance of Mr. Hughes. As a faculty member since 1938 he has been an inspiration for many a college language major.
