Under the supervision of Miss Dyson, the Library Club
enjoys reading and discussing best sellers, serving as pages in
the library and making posters for displays.
The girls who belong to the Library Club take turns in
serving as pages. They charge and renew books, receive new
books, construct bulletin boards, arrange magazines, open mail,
take inventory and help students to locate books.

This group assists in the orderly movement of students between class changes. The
members help enforce the rule governing the use of lockers.
This year's captain is Graham Campbell. The four lieutenants in charge of the
floors are Willie Hairston, James Rousseau, Alton Gunn and James Gist. Mr. William
Earl is supervisor of the group.

The Travel Club, sponsored by Miss Gladys Roberson and Mrs. Katherine Meroney, was
organized to broaden the student's geographical and historical culture.
Membership is extended to all applicants who keenly feel the necessity of expanding their
store of knowledge in this area and are willing to work hard toward this end.
Community guests, missionaries, and exchange students from other countries have all
contributed to the program. The culmination of the activities consists of a trip to be taken,
within the state, to a point of world educational interest.
Officers for the year are Clyde Crosby, president: Minnie Wilson, vice-president, Brenda
Gaither, secretary, John Turner, treasurer.
The Latin Club, Sodalitas Latina, is sponsored by Mrs. C. B. Gaines. The Latin Club
sponsors an assembly program and a Latin exhibit annually in the school library.
Through the club the members have set forth the following aims: they tend to develop
their historical and cultural background, to improve their mental habits, to develop the right
attitudes toward social situations, to increase their ability to read, speak, and write English,
and to develop thei
