SOCCER TEAM GETS ON THE BALL Improving was the name of the game for the Athens High School Soccer Team as it made the 1981 season its best season yet With the help of Coach An- thony Antonakos and team cap- ■ ■ . -v ■ ' .. . tains Greg Hanek, Scott Hunter, and Louis Patriquin, the team had a record of four wins, nine losses, and two ties. The team started out the season with high spirits due to a four to one victory at home over Lancaster Fisher Catholic. GIRLS' INITIAL SEASON SCORES SUCCESS The Girls' Tennis Team was a smashing success in their initial season Led by seniors Erin Burke, Lori Kinnard, Becky Ellis, and Molly Sherman the team culminated the year with a 3-2 record Erin Burke played the top singles spot for Athens, boasting only one defeat in five outings Shelly Croci and Meeta Gawande rounded out the singles players The doubles teams were led by Becky Ellis, Molly Sherman, and Lori Kinnard. Dana Trevas and lean Reese also rotated into the doubles spots.
