ARTHUR BISHOP TED CANFIELD c Sanitation OWEN GEROULD The members of the student body of Athens High School have always been proud of the looks of their beautiful building and have done their best to keep it beautiful. But the real credit goes to the seven individuals who are responsible for its care and maintenance. These people work doing three shifts: 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., 3:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. Mr. Canfield, Mr. Robbins, Mr. Gerould, Mr. Bishop, and Mrs. Van Valkner, under the leadership of Mr. Van Valkner, HAROLD ROBBINS must keep the floors scrubbed and waxed, the walls and fixtures clean, the windows clear and the floors and hallways picked up. They are responsible for the general appearance of the school. Mr. Bishop also has the particular job of cleaning up the dishes and trays after the lunches. Mr. Thorpe is the head custodian and maintenance man for the Athens Area School System. These seven people have kept the school looking as new and beautiful as the day it was built. LEOLA BAILEY BURLINGAME FAIRBANKS KRING MORRIS ustenance The job of feeding over one thousand people daily is efficiently handled by the ten ladies on the cafeteria staff who, under the direction of Mrs. Smith, prepare a well-balanced, satisfying lunch each day. Mrs. Smith prepares a wide variety of menus and attempts to serve something especially pleasing to everyone. The friendly atmosphere found in the cafeteria makes lunch an enjoyable time for all. MRS.
