MRS. CELIA ARNOLD MRS. MARILYN DEPUE MRS. BARBARA LOMBARD cSuccor The general office secretaries, Mrs. Lombard and Miss Murphy have many jobs. They take care of Mr. Pruyne's secretarial work, take calls on the switchboard, and keep the students' permanent records. But their main concern is with the students themselves. They do everything for the students from settling student insurance claims to keeping club funds and selling athletic tickets. Mrs. Depue is the secretary for the Guidance Department. She makes appointments for the students with the guidance counselors, permits the students to review guidance materials, and handles guidance correspondence. Mr. Marvin's secretaries, Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Robinson, and Mrs. Williams handle business for the entire school district. They take care of accounts payable, administrative letters, and cafeteria business. They are responsible for the payroll. The purposes of a school are not confined to the teaching of the basic subjects. The school nurse provides an education in good health habits and keeps a regularly updated record on each student. One of the most appreciated services in the school is that of the library. It not only provides the reference materials for school work, but also the reading books for those who are interested. The special education department provides an education in basic skills for some students. This course allows some of the students to spend half of the day in school and the other half at a job in the community. The school offers a service to the community as well as to the individual student through drivers' education classes. Mrs. Smith prepares a wide variety of menus and attempts to serve something especially pleasing to everyone. The friendly atmosphere found in the cafeteria makes lunch an enjoyable time for all. MRS.
