7 26-ROTC Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Train- ing Corp developes leadership and self- discipline through the theory of mili- tary life and drill. Cadets learn about aerospace exploration, technology, navigation, and drill. A three year graduating cadet has the Opportunity to enlist in the Air Force at one pay grade higher and a four year graduat- ing cadet can enlist at two pay grades higher in any other service. Business Department head, Guido Lombardi, remarked, I feel we have the best business depart- ment in the county. There are many Opportunities for students with business certificates from Atascadero High School. These certificates are handed out by the business department on completion of certain business classes. The certi- ficates are for: General Office Clerk. Clerk Typists. Stenographer, Account- ant Clerk, and Retail Sales Clerk. These certificates do work, for many of the AHS graduates have top jobs in the county. Business 25
